Smoked Cornish Sardine Fillets in Sunflower Oil
Featuring Walter Langley Image
These beautiful traditonal Cornish Sardine fillets are the second in a series put together by Cornwall's oldest pilchard processors in collaboration with the world's oldest sardine cannery, in Brittany.
Caught in the clear waters of the Western approaches using traditional techniques, the fish are ring-netted and preserved in prime conditon. To capture the traditional flavour, they have been filleted and flash fried using techniques perfected since 1853. The fish are smoked before being canned with fresh sunflower oil.
Only natural ingredients are used and the fish can be enjoyed hot or cold.
Despite being deliciously tasty, pilchards are one of the most beneficial fish that you can eat!
